Terms of Use
The terms that apply when you use the invenCue website and live demo.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the invenCue website at invencue.com and the live demo. The website is operated by Ian Gunter ("we", "us"). By using the website or the demo you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
Section 7 sets out the extra terms that apply if you register for an invenCue account and subscribe to a plan.
2. The website
The information on this website is general information about invenCue and is provided in good faith. It is not an offer capable of acceptance. Features, descriptions and availability may change without notice. Prices shown on the website are for guidance, may change, and do not form a contract. The terms of any paid plan are set out in a separate written agreement.
3. The live demo
- The demo is provided so you can evaluate invenCue. It is provided "as is", may be unavailable at times, and may be changed, reset or withdrawn at any time without notice.
- The demo uses shared test accounts. Do not enter real personal, financial or confidential data. Anything you enter may be seen by other users.
- Do not use the demo for live hotel operations.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, the demo, other accounts or our systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the website, including by sending automated or excessive requests;
- introduce malware or other harmful code;
- scrape, copy or reverse engineer the software except as the law permits;
- use the website for any unlawful purpose or to send spam through the enquiry form.
We may suspend or block access if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
5. Intellectual property
The invenCue name, logo, software, design and website content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. You may view and share links to the website for personal and business evaluation. You may not reproduce or reuse our content for other purposes without written permission.
6. Enquiries
When you send an enquiry you agree that the details you give are accurate. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Accounts, trials and subscriptions
- Your account. You must give accurate details, keep your password secure and tell us if you think your account has been misused. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the staff you add to it.
- Free trial. New accounts start with a free trial. We verify your card with a small authorisation that is refunded straight away. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card is charged for your chosen plan.
- Subscription and renewal. Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You authorise us to charge your saved card for each renewal. Prices are shown excluding VAT; VAT is added where we charge it.
- Plan limits. Each plan includes limits on hotels, bookable rooms and staff users, and some features are only available on some plans. You can change plan at any time; the new price applies from your next payment.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the billing page. Your subscription then ends at the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not refund part-used periods unless the law requires it.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails we will try again and tell you. If it is not resolved within a short grace period, your account may be suspended until payment is made. We may end the account if it stays unpaid.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future periods and will give you reasonable notice before a change applies to you.
- Your data. The hotel data you enter remains yours. Where you enter personal data about your guests and staff, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so.
8. Links to other sites
The website may link to third-party sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or the demo, or from relying on its content. This includes loss of profit, data or business. The website and demo are provided free of charge, and we give no warranty that they will be error-free, secure or uninterrupted. For paid subscriptions, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the website means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
12. Contact
If you have a question about these terms, please use the contact form.
