RESERVATIONS & ROOM ALLOCATION
A booking is more than a room number.
Guests book a room type. Your team allocates a real, numbered room, automatically or by hand, and can move the guest later without disturbing the booking.
WHAT IT DOES
Reservations & room allocation.
Many small-hotel tools are a booking log: they record that someone has a room, not which room. invenCue tracks the physical room a guest is actually in, because that is what housekeeping, maintenance and the front desk all need to know.
Reservations follow a full lifecycle from enquiry through to checked out. A date-navigable arrivals, departures and in-house view shows any day, not just today, so the front desk can plan ahead.
QUESTIONS
Good to know.
What is the difference between a room type and a room?
A room type, such as a Superior Double, is what a guest books. A room is the physical, numbered room they stay in. invenCue keeps the two separate so you can allocate and re-allocate rooms without changing the booking.
Can I move a guest to a different room?
Yes. Guests can be relocated or upgraded, and the reservation and the allocation history are preserved.
Does invenCue handle group bookings?
Yes. A single reservation can cover multiple rooms and guests.
